Lightweight & Compact Ladder
This is a soft type rescue safety ladder in an acrylic fabric cover bag. You can use it by fixing it on the stern pulpit or other strong attachment points. It’s compact size and UV protected straps mean it can be left permanently mounted without fear of degredation
Pull it out by yourself. Reaches under water
10 ladder steps are each spaced at 30cm in height. The steps are made with a webbing belt strengthened with fiberglass battens, so it won't lose its shape when stepped on.
A 2.5m deployment cord extends from the bottom of the storage bag, which can be hung from the bottom to easily release the ladder by pulling the cord from water level when you fall into the water alone. The ladder is extra long so that on most boats there is enough length of the ladder in the water to get your feet onto the ladder while still in the water. This is important as it can be very difficult for people to lift themselves out of the water in an emergency situation, especially with wet clothing on. Therefore, being able to pull out the ladder in the water, and being able to climb it up easily even underwater, is extremely handy for rescue operations. A ladder made from hard materials falling on top of you when you are lowering the ladder by yourself from below would be dangerous, but this ladder is made of lightweight soft webbing material, so it’s safe!
Reliable when the time comes
Always keeping a ladder mounted to prepare for an emergency is ideal. However, if you let rescue equipment out under the sun for a long time, it may lose its strength and become useless in an emergency. You won’t have to worry about that with this ladder bag. The whole exterior of the product is made of acrylic fabric and the straps are covered, so even if you leave the ladder attached, you won’t have to worry about it loosing strength due to UV degredation. This is the only safety ladder we know of that is designed to fit to the boat and left in place. Most if not all other ladders have the straps exposed to UV and so their strength is questionable after a few years of UV exposure. Our ladder has an acrylic cover over the straps to protect the straps. Straps can be set onto the stern pulpit with webbing and double ladder lock buckles.
Webbing & Strength
The webbing belt used for the ladder has a strength of 1000kg per belt, so the load capacity of the entire ladder reaches 2000kg. This is strong enough for 2 adults to hold onto the ladder while being dragged along by the water.
