Great solution to preventing Gennaker/Spinnaker lazy sheet from catching or fouling under the boat
Are you having trouble dealing with the "lazy sheet" (loose sheet not being pulled) among the Gennaker sheets? They get soaked in the water, get stuck under the hull, or in the worst case, get tangled up in the peller. This Lazy Sheet Retainer is a convenient item that solves all of these problems, with its T-shaped body. This can be fully opened with the Velcro and can be secured to stanchions and lifelines. When you open the front cover, you’ll see a drawbridge-like retainer. Place the lazy sheet, raise the white holding arm inside, and attach it to the Velcro on the main body side. This will prevent the lazy sheet from being submerged in water and will also prevent further problems caused by that. Of course, if tension is applied to the sheet during jibing, the hold arms will easily be detached and the Gennaker sheet will return to usable condition. This product is most effective when used in sets of several on both the port and starboard stanchions of the boat.

Fantastic, these retainers n my Bavaria 57Style always make sure my lazy lines for down wind are kept dry and out of the water, also when sitting idle, leaving me confident that they stay dry and away minimise any keel or prop entanglement. I combine them with Mast bags mounted at the front rail to store excess line and snap shackles, sail ties and other attachments.
